What We Do

Rooks Rider Solicitors LLP provides extensive expertise in the real estate sector, and specialised skills to handle all types of transactions relating to both commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters.

Our Real Estate team acts for banks, businesses, developers, investors, private individuals and trusts from all over the world.

Our Partners’ active involvement in the wider business community frequently enables us to be instrumental in creating new business opportunities for the benefit of our clients. Furthermore, our knowledge of the market place in which our clients operate, coupled with our expertise in tax planning, enable us to provide a specialist service in the creation of corporate and trust structures, both in the UK and overseas. Such structures are individually designed for business or private use and the needs of clients who reside in or outside of the UK, or who may alter their interests subsequently.

Our strengths in handling the affairs of private individuals means we are also skilled in all areas related to the residential market, agricultural land and estates.

Together with a real-estate consultancy practice, Rooks Rider Solicitors is a founder member of the Leasehold Advisory Group. The Group was formed to advise residential real estate tenants on lease extensions and group freehold purchases (enfranchisements). Its views are sought by the media and clients and the firm was recently named ‘Solicitors Firm of the Year’ at the Enfranchisement and Right To Manage Awards 2013, one of the most prestigious awards recognising professional excellence in leasehold enfranchisement work.

We also advise in the facilities’ space market place, and we offer specialist expertise and demonstrable experience in the Self Storage sector, where we are a member of the Self Storage Association.

The provision of a commercially-focused approach is at the heart of the Real Estate team at Rooks Rider Solicitors.

We actively seek to understand our clients’ objectives, enabling us to provide value-added services across a range of core areas including:

  • Sales and purchases
  • Mortgages
  • Landlord and tenant

  • Development
  • Investment
  • Extending your lease
  • Residential sales and purchases
  • Group purchases of freeholds
  • Buying newly-built property
  • Buying property from outside the UK
  • The buy-to-let market

As a consequence, members of the team work within one or more of these areas – often with other real estate professionals adding value to the projects with which they are involved.

The Real Estate Team also works closely with our Wealth Planning and Company/Commercial departments, as well as other real estate professionals. This enables us to provide tailored solutions to best suit each individual client’s requirements.

Members of the team travel regularly to conferences and seminars abroad, adding to the variety of work undertaken at all times on both the domestic and international fronts.
