Exclusivity terms unenforceable in zero hours contracts

Following the enactment of the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015, with effect from 26 May 2015 the government has banned the use of exclusivity clauses in zero hours contracts.  Therefore, those persons currently working under a zero hours contract are now free to work for more than one employer without being in breach of contract. The new provisions can be viewed here.
