Rooks Rider Doubles Target Raising Money for Race For Life Cancer Charity

Team Rooks Rider Solicitors, the ‘Rooks Striders’, have successfully completed the 5km Race for Life Challenge, raising nearly £400 for Cancer Research.

The race, which took place in London’s Battersea Park on 12 June, is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Representing the Rooks Rider team were Elle Murphy, Lauren Penny, Karen Methold and Gemma Davis and Natalie Walford.

Commenting on the run, Elle says: “Race for Life has made a huge impact on the work of
Cancer Research UK. It was an honor and a privilege to be part of the ‘Rooks Striders’ team and thank you to all those who supported us in our fundraising efforts. We are delighted to have achieved nearly 200% of our original fundraising target.”

Since Race for Life started in 1994, an incredible six million women have come together and raised more than £493million for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
